India wins 1st Gold at the Beijing Olympics

Abhinav Bindra won the gold medal in the 10 m Air Rifle category,the first for an individual.His dad signed the Good Luck board for him...this seems to have worked in India's favour.India has won gold medals in team events like hockey before.
