Hundreds of thousands of tearful fans bid adieu to music legend Bhupen Hazarika as his cortege makes its way to the Gauhati University campus for his last rites on Wednesday. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, en route to Nagaland, made a brief stop over in Guwahati to visit the bereaved family at their Nizarapar residence. At the funeral site, wreaths were placed by Union minister Paban Singh Ghatowar on behalf of the Prime Minister and Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on behalf of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
