Kerala will hold a road show in the country’s financial capital Mumbai with a call to captains of trade and industry to forge mutually beneficial economic and commercial engagements with the state and help accelerate its rapid economic growth. Chief minister Oommen Chandy, along with industries and IT minister P K Kunhalikutty and finance minister K M Mani, among others, will launch the road show by holding an interactive session with the India Incorporate on May 15. Leading entrepreneurs from the state like B K Patodia, chairman and managing director, GTN Textiles; Sanjaya Mariwala, managing director, Kancor Ingredients Ltd and Navas Meeran, chairman, Eastern Group, will share their success stories.
“The goal of this branding exercise is to catalyze growth through enabling policies and to facilitate an environment for business development. We need to highlight the fact that Kerala is an investor-friendly destination with the potential to become an economic powerhouse of the country,” said industries secretary and KSIDC managing director Alkesh Kumar Sharma.
The meeting is part of a string of domestic and international road shows, business meets and conclaves the state government has planned in connection with ‘Emerging Kerala’, a three-day global connect opportunity for business leaders, investors and policymakers scheduled in Kochi from September 12 to14.
