AI pilots end 58-day strike

The Indian Pilots Guild called off its nearly two-monthlong strike by Air India pilots. The stand-off with the management ended after the pilots assured the Delhi high court earlier in the day that they would resume work with immediate effect.
The pilots also told Justice Reva Khetrapal that they would give joining reports and resume their duties in 48 hours, whereas pilots whose services were terminated
during the 58-day strike would submit reports expressing their willingness to get back to work.
The decision to call off the strike was taken after the AI management assured the co
urt that it would consider the grievances of the pilots “sympathetically”.
