AirAsia gets Security nod

The decks have been cleared for Tata Sons’ joint venture airline with Malaysian low cost carrier AirAsia to take off in India very soon. The home ministry has given security clearance to AirAsia India and now the aviation ministry can give it the no objection certificate followed by an airline operator’s permit or licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
The aviation ministry had long ago granted the go ahead to the proposed airline, which has Tata Sons’ former chairman Ratan Tata as adviser, and was only waiting for the joint venture to get MHA nod.
