Of Twenty22.....India@75

India@75 is inspired by professor CK Prahalad’s idea for the country. During the Incredible India@60 commemoration in 2007, Prof Prahalad articulated the idea of a holistic three-dimensional development of India to be able to acquire enough strength, technological vitality and moral leadership by the end of 75 years of Independence.
This vision was adopted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on May 8, 2008. It envisions how India should be in the 75th year of Independence and seeks to bring together all stakeholders, including the industry, government, institutions, community groups and individuals to translate the vision into reality.
On November 14, top industry leaders, namely Cyrus Mistry, chairman of Tata Group, Adi Godrej, chairman of Godrej Group, Rahul Bajaj, chairman of Bajaj group, S Gopalakrishnan, Infosys co-founder and co-chairman, KV Kamath, chairman of ICICI Bank and others from Bollywood, music, media and non-profit groups will participate to pledge their support to India@75 – Mission 2022.
With this pledge, the CII is working towards creating a movement where everyone is involved in collaborating, co-creating and realising the dreams of the country.
India@75 has seven board sectors as part of its vision, which include education and skills, technology and innovation, agriculture and food security, business and economy, urbanisation and environmental sustainability, arts, literature and sport, moral leadership, governance and public administration.
The occasion will also see the launch of the India@75 theme song, penned by Javed Akhtar. The song is composed by Lalit Pandit and sung by Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik.
