Manmohan Singh, who moved into the PMO after the 2004 polls, is hopeful of getting projected as the Congress’ choice for the top office again during the coming polls. He displayed his optimism here on Friday while responding to queries from media in the presence of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi after the flag hoisting at the party headquarters.Singh was asked whether he expected to be declared as Congress’ candidate for the prime ministerial slot in the coming polls. “Hopefully”, Singh, with Sonia by his side, remarked.Earlier, Sonia showed her continued bias for Singh. “Why not, certainly,” the Congress chief, remarked when she was asked the same question.
