Congress MPs led by party vice-president Rahul Gandhi gathered outside Parliament flaunting a booklet that listed what Congress called the “twenty five U-turns of the Modi government within 180 days“. Congress legislators flashed the booklet before TV cameras while accusing the NDA regime of serial flipflop on major policy matters. “The government has made a U-turn on every issue. The government has not done anything that they promised to do,“ Rahul Gandhi told reporters. Congress, party MPs said, would raise each of the “U-turns by the Modi government“ during the ongoing session of Parliament. Titled “6 Mahine Paar, U-turn Sarkar“, the pamphlet lists 25 matters on which the government has allegedly changed its stand in its six months in power. The Congress MPs said the BJP “won the elections by making so many promises to voters that it has now backed away from.
The AICC has decided to despatch the booklet across the state party units with an instruction to make extensive use of it to build a campaign against the NDA regime.
