A major fire broke out in storage tanks of Indian Oil Corporation’s (IOC) terminal at Hazira port, fire brigade officials said. Fire brigade personnel from Surat and nearby cities were trying to bring the fire under control. Hazira facility of IOC has nine storage tanks, five of petrol and four of diesel. One of the tanks caught fire on Saturday afternoon, and it spread. This is the second major fire at an IOC storage tank in the past three years.
