The BMC is formulating bye laws making it compulsory for all residential buildings on plots above 6,500 square feet to house a gray water recycling plant, to save on fresh water.Gray water refers to non industrial waste water generated from domestic processes like washing and bathing, excluding toilet water.This water can be filtered and used for flushing and gardening purposes.
