It's that time again

Today is the 6th of December..the anniversary of the demolition of the Babri Masjid at Ayodhya. As a part of the fallout of the Mumbai terror attacks by the Pakistan based LeT, a Muslim body fighting for the rebuilding of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya will not observe a ‘black day’ to express solidarity with the Mumbai attack victims. The All-India Babri Masjid Rebuilding Committee (AIBMRC) said it will instead send a memorandum to President Pratibha Patil urging her to order the rebuilding of the Babri masjid at its original site in Ayodhya or refer all disputes related to the issue to a Supreme Court for a final order. “We will not observe a black day on Saturday, as has been the practice for the past 15 years. We will also not be holding any demonstration due to the recent Pakistan-sponsored terrorist attacks in Mumbai,’’ panel president Mohd Younus Siddique said. Saying the President would be moved to transfer the Ayodhya disputes to the SC, Siddique said, “Whatever decision the SC takes will be acceptable to the community as it has full faith in the Constitution and judiciary.” Meanwhile, the Union home ministry has issued advisories to all states asking them to remain vigilant .
