MRVC wants to know your views

The Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation wants to make sure people will pay to ride in air-conditioned comfort on local trains. The MRVC, in a survey to find out if Mumbaikars really want AC trains and how much they are willing to pay for it, will keep questionnaires at various station managers’ offices. Commuters can take these forms, fill them up and then drop them in boxes that will be placed at various Western Railway and Central Railway stations. Some Central Railway stations where you can find these forms and then drop them inside boxes are Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Masjid, Byculla, Currey Road, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Mulund, Thane, Mumbra, Dombivli, Kalyan, Ulhasnagar, Ambarnath, Badlapur, Sahad, Wadala, Chembur, Mankhurd and Panvel. Western Railway stations where the forms will be kept are Churchgate, Marine Lines, Charni Road, Grant Road, Mumbai Central, Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Elphinstone Road, Dadar, Matunga Road, Mahim, Bandra, Khar Road, Santa Cruz, Vile Parle, Andheri, Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Malad, Kandivli, Borivli, Dahisar, Mira Road, Bhayander, Naigaon, Vasai Road, Nalasopara and Virar. The survey started last Friday and officials said would be going on till the end of this month. MRVC plans to get the opinion of 50,000 commuters on both the lines with this survey. Forms are also being distributed on trains and at various corporate offices.
