Delhi Metro snippets

This could well be the year of Delhi Metro, as most lines in its phase-II are expected to be completed by the year-end. The first of the lot to be thrown open to public is the Vishwavidyalaya-Jahangirpuri line — work completed, it will be operational by the last week of January, say Metro officials.
Lined up next is the section between Indraprastha and Noida Sector 32 City Centre, expected in another few months. Then comes the Anand Vihar stretch, a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) official said.
Now awaiting its final inspection, the Jahangirpuri line has come eight months before deadline, the Metro official said. Going by the pace of work on other stretches, Metro officials are confident a few more of the 10 lines to be opened in phase-II would also beat deadlines.
