
Eligible women voters outnumber their male counterparts in six states for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections due from 16 April, according to data released by the Election Commission of India. In Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Puducherry, the number of eligible women voters is more than men voters. However, in all, while there are 372,324,113 male voters, the number of women voters is not too far behind at 340,649,406.
