“The BJP government ensuring bandh’s success was a cruel joke on Bangaloreans. Levying high taxes and then raising a voice against price hike is like rocking the cradle and pinching the baby at the same time. At the end of the day, it’s the common man who suffers. As if to rub salt into the wound, our CM justifies higher sales tax saying that it’s a major source of revenue for the government. Wonder if the government is working for its own welfare or for the welfare of citizens.”
