Somewhere in London....

Several thousand pro-Khalistan Sikhs marched through central London on Sunday to mark the 27th anniversary of Operation Bluestar, a turnout that surprised even the organisers. The organisers claimed a figure of 25,000, but the Scotland Yard put the number at 6,000. The ‘Remembrance March’ began at Hyde Park, which has a famous speakers’corner, and concluded at Trafalgar Square, another hotspot for protestors. An intelligence source said remnants of extremist groups like Babbar Khalsa and Damdami Taksal were prominently part of the protest organised by the Sikh Federation UK. After years of a comparative lull, anti-Indian groups in the Sikh community in Britain have become more active and vocal.
