Kasab's appeal snippets

The Supreme Court has appointed senior advocate Raju Ramachandran as amicus curiae in the hearing of an appeal by Pakistani national Ajmal Amir Kasab, who has challenged his conviction and award of death sentence in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. Ramachandran, who was amicus in a petition filed by Zakia Jafri accusing Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi and 62 others of a role in the post-Godhra riots, will assist a bench headed by Justice Aftab Alam, which is hearing the cases relating to 26/11. His role will be limited to Kasab’s appeal, which is a petition filed from jail.
