2 Deputy CMs for Karnataka

Jagadish Shettar will take oath as chief minister at Raj Bhavan at noon on Thursday. He will have two deputy CMs — KS Eshwarappa and R Ashoka — and 11 new faces.
After a series of talks, party leaders Rajnath Singh, Shettar, Eshwarappa, DV Sadananda Gowda, BS Yeddyurappa and HN Ananth Kumar decided to include all of Gowda’s ministers.
By having two deputy CMs, the party is trying to keep “LKG” — Lingayat-Kuruba-Gowda — in good humour. While Shettar is a Lingayat, Eshwarappa and Ashoka are from the Kuruba and Vokkaliga communities, respectively.
Shettar and Eshwarappa left for New Delhi on Wednesday evening with a list of ministerial probables for approval.
The party is likely to fill 32 berths, keeping two vacant.
