If the debut wasn't historic enough, India Today Television has created a new record by taking over the leadership slot within the second week of its launch.
As per BARC ratings released for week 22, the channel's launch has been nothing short of extraordinary with the maximum viewership touching 239 GVTs on six megacities and 354 GVTs across India.
India Today Television has maintained an extremely healthy sampling of 73 per cent over Times Now in six megacities and 48 on the All India (22+ M AB) basis. The maximum number of viewers in prime time also watched India Today Television, double the number of Times Now viewers in six megacities and 57 per cent more than Times Now in all India (Mon-Fri, 1900-2400, 22+ M AB).

Programming wise, India Today television also topped the charts with four out of top five programmes (22+M AB, All India).
Group CEO of India Today Group Ashish Bagga said, "India Today Television aims to redefine the TV news space with pioneering content and a multi-dimensional visual format. This, backed with the gold standard of journalism that India Today has always stood for, is drawing unprecedented attention and we are extremely delighted to see this viewership.
