India and Israel elevated their ties to a strategic partnership as New Delhi identified Tel Aviv as a major development and technological partner even as both nations agreed to combat growing radicalisation and terrorism and expand cooperation in cyber security.
A joint statement issued at the end of the talks said, “This historic first-ever visit by an Indian prime minister to Israel solidified the enduring friendship between their peoples and raised the bilateral relationship to that of a strategic partnership.“
The key takeaways from the visit, which is two-thirds complete, are that apart from the historic significance of a first visit to Israel by an Indian PM, the two nations have broad-based their relationship.
