The metro bridge over the Andheri Flyover is now nearly complete. The bridge is part of the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar corridor of the first phase of the project, which was to be completed in February. However, land acquisition and right-of-way issues, along with problems with the construction of a Metro-related viaduct, delayed the line’s predicted completion. Trial runs for the line are expected to begin in August, while commercial operations are scheduled to begin in November. The initial construction cost of the line was Rs 2,356 crore.
