Protesters at ‘Jal Satyagraha’ in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. They have been standing in neck-deep water since August 25, demanding compensation and rehabilitation for villagers whose homes will be submerged after opening the gates of the Omkareshwar dam in the state because of rise in water levels of the Narmada. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan deputed two senior ministers to talk to the agitators.
