Of 40 Billion Dollars in revenue....

KS Viswanathan, vice-president (Industry Initiatives), National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) said that the NASSCOM aims to reach a global target of $40 billion revenue in the year 2020. NASSCOM was set up to accelerate innovation within the Indian engineering industry.
Viswanathan mentioned the findings of Booz Global Engineering R&D report released in May 2010, that said globally off-shorable revenues of both traditional verticals (aerospace, automotive, telecom, semiconductors, consumer electronics and construction/heavy machinery) and emerging verticals (computing systems, energy, infrastructure, industrial automation and medical devices) are expected to reach $ 90-100 billion.
“Of this, India will garner a share of around 40 percent by 2020, equivalent to $40-45 billion. The sector’s existing share stands at $7.9 billion,” he said.
