The Metro passed through the Sarvodaya junction on LBS Road in Ghatkopar. It was its first trial run on the entire 11.4 km stretch from Versova to Ghatkopar via Andheri. Till now, the trial runs and technical tests were conducted only from Versova to Airport Road. A Mumbai Metro One Private Ltd spokesperson said, “The trial run was conducted successfully. We have also received the Research, Design and Standards Organization certification for signalling equipment and communication system. These developments conform to our plan to open the line for the citizens of the Mumbai soon.”
