Brand India as a tourist destination is scaling new heights. Globetrotters and tourists worldwide are warming up to the country’s people and hospitality by voting India as the 7th best destination in the world in the recent Conde Nast Readers’ Travel Awards 2010, ahead of even countries like Thailand, Greece, Brazil and France. It’s a much better ranking than last year when India was 13th. Turkey was adjudged the favourite holiday destination.
Three Indian luxury hotels — including Taj West End and The Leela in Bangalore — were voted the best Overseas Business Hotels.
