The Akhilesh Yadav government of UP unleashed a brazen marketing blitzkrieg for `UP Rising' during Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) celebrations -a precursor to Vibrant Gujarat Summit -in PM Narendra Modi's backyard.
Though Yadav couldn't make it in a last-minute reschedule, the publicity offensive that started with `UP Rising' posters days ahead of PDB, were hastily brought down at many places in city municipal limits. An aggressive Team Akhilesh unleashed human-hoardings with limbs as youth were seen standing -Akhilesh's posters perched firmly on their backs -on Gandhinagar roads leading to Mahatma Mandir.
Seminars of CMs on `Investment Opportunities in States' saw Team UP again trying to steal Gujarat's thunder, Modi style. While Akhilesh was missing, his administrative team doled out unprecedented promises to NRIs to attract investment to Uttar Pradesh.
