The release of floodwater from Krishnarajasagar Dam near Mysore was stepped up . Over 40,000 cusecs of water is released against an inflow of 51,787 cusecs providing a spectacular view of the reservoir which is celebrating 75th anniversary this year. The water level is 124 ft against the maximum of 124.8 ft.
