A record breaking turnout in Tripura

Tripura set a new record for the country’s highest-ever voter turnout with 93% polling in the assembly elections.
Barring a few incidents, including the death of a young voter due to heart attack, polling went off peacefully.     The Tripura elections are crucial as results will decide the future of the Left Front in the country.
The highest turnout of 96% was recorded in the reserved tribal constituency of Raima Valley. Dhanpur reported about 95% turnout.
