IRNSS-1E

IRNSS-1E, the fifth of the seven Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System satellites, will be launched at 9.31 am on January 20 from Sriharikota, Isro announced on Friday .
Like the previous four IRNSS satellite launches, the advanced version of the four-stage Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, designated as PSLVXL, will be used. This is the 11th time the `XL' configuration of this rocket is being flown, according to Isro.
The 1,425 kg IRNSS-1E has two payloads -navigation and ranging. The previous four navigation satellites were launched in July 2013, April 2014, October 2014 and March 2015.
Isro plans to launch the remaining two satellites, which will complete the seven-member constellation, in February and March.
