India and Nepal decide to move on

With the Birgunj-Raxaul blockade lifted last week, Nepal and India seem ready to turn the page in their close but often troubled relationship. The lifting of the blockade after 135 days came on the heels of the Nepal government amending its four-month-old constitution to accommodate some of the demands of the agitating Madhesis who had felt discriminated against.
Nepalese PM K P Sharma Oli is scheduled to visit India on February 19, the first since he took office.
Both sides are trying to put the last few months behind them.
On the Indian side, the ice was broken after a phone conversation between Oli and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and encouraging noises from the foreign ministry after the constitutional amendments were passed. On Tuesday , foreign minister Sushma Swaraj led an all-party delegation to former PM Sushil Koirala's funeral, a sure sign that India wants to repair ties.
It's a message that will be repeated when Oli visits. Oli took a hardline position against India in the past months, with Nepali media reporting he would visit China before India.?
