DJ Bric 50 Index

The country’s largest developer by market value, DLF Ltd, telecom firm Bharti Airtel Ltd, state-run explorer Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd and Cairn India Ltd, the local unit of Cairn Energy Plc., have made it to the Dow Jones Bric 50 Index, a blue-chip measure that includes 50 of the largest and most actively traded stocks in Brazil, Russia, India and China.The new entrants would replace Unitech Ltd, Tata Motors Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd and Satyam Computer Services Ltd on the investible index, Dow Jones Indexes said in a statement.
The changes are part of the annual review and would be effective as of the open of trading on 22 September.The other new components of the index include three from Brazil, two from China and one from Russia.
The Dow Jones Bric 50 Index features 11 other Indian entities. These include Reliance Industries Ltd, Larsen and Toubro Ltd, ICICI Bank Ltd, Infosys Technologies Ltd, State Bank of India, Reliance Communications Ltd, Tata Steel Ltd, Housing Development Finance Corp. Ltd, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, Suzlon Energy Ltd and ITC Ltd.
