Somewhere in Bangalore....

India’s first indigenous naval light combat aircraft, said to be the only carrier-borne light warplane in the world, was rolled out in Bangalore. The two-seater LCA prototype, which will operate with a large variety of weapons like beyond-visual-range missiles, anti-ship missiles and air defence guns, is now ready to undergo various tests, ground runs, taxi trials and is expected to make its maiden flight by the end of this year. Dubbing it a memorable and defining moment, defence minister A K Antony said a shore-based test facility for the LCA is under construction at the naval air station base in Goa
