Anand Sharma calls NaMo a #Feku

Commerce minister Anand Sharma has mocked Narendra Modi as a “liar” for claiming that Gujarat has attracted the largest foreign direct investment ahead of other states when facts speak otherwise.
“I know his knowledge of geography, history and economics is limited and I am amazed at his mathematics which claims that number 8 is bigger than 63,” Sharma said.
He was referring to official figures that say Gujarat attracted FDI of only eight billion dollars between 2000-12, while Maharashtra got the maximum FDI of 63 billion dollars.
Sharma said, “The FDI in Gujarat is 8 billion dollars while the claim was of one trillion dollars (of deals signed in Vibrant Gujarat). Narendra Modi is used to boasting and his claims are utterly false.”
The commerce minister said Gujarat is number six from bottom in manufacturing. Sharma said economic vision unveiled by Modi was a plagiarized version of what the Congress has been doing for years. He said Modi’s “5T” — tradition, technology, talent, tourism and trade — are old focus areas that are known to everyone as a must for economic progress.
He said Modi spoke of giving a boost to manufacturing and creating industrial corridors when the UPA had already been promoting cities as manufacturing hubs and started work on corridors in joint ventures. “Modi, who is aspiring to be the PM of this country, should do his home work before making public pronouncements and not speak about the developmental programmes of the Congress,” Sharma said.
Sharma said that the Congress had provided stability and direction to the country in the last ten years but the BJP had forced a negative discourse by calling in question every decision of the government to “further a partisan agenda”.
