Of Projecting Maharashtra in Make In India week....

Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis is set to project Maharashtra as the favoured destination for investors, manufacturers and skill development during the Make in India week beginning from February 13 in the Bandra-Kurla Complex.
The weeklong event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while prominent heads of industrial houses, leading manufacturers and multinational firms from across the world will participate in the event, the first of its kind in India. l “Investors across the world believe that investment in India is very safe. It was quite visible from the recent reports of the data released by leading organisations within India and abroad. Our effort will be enhance the confidence of the investors for investment in India, particularly Maharashtra,“ Fadnavis said.
The CM said after he took over the reins of the state in October 2014, he ensured that only finally approved projects were submitted to foreign financial institutions, as a result, most of them were cleared in a record period. In the past too, these projects were submitted to foreign bankers, but were never considered owing incomplete proposals. “Take the case of Mumbai transharbour link project. We completed the basic formalities and then submitted it to a foreign bank, it was approved in record time. We are set to launch the project in the days to come,'' Fadnavis said.
Fadnavis felt that the Make In India week will be on par with the World Economic Forum meet in Davos.“Our preparations and participation is of the level of prestigious World Economic Forum,'' he said.
On the Make In India campaign, Fadnavis said it aims to strengthen India's position in the global supply chain by forging enormous global engagement with Indian industry in the form of partnerships and investments. ``During the Make in India week, we will show case India's potential under the them of innovation, design and sustainability across focus sectors through a series of highly visible outreach initiatives at the make in India centre and other locations in Mumbai,'' he said.
Since Maharashtra is the host state for the biggest ever event, it is organising state sectoral seminars for textile, information technology and energy on February 13 after the inauguration. On February 15, there will be a special seminar on investment in Maharashtra, which will be attended by global CEOs.
Fadnavis said Mumbai's selection as the venue for the event is a testament to the city's continued stature as India's commercial capital.“It's a big achievement for Mumbai as it has been selected for hosting the event.“
