Pune was lashed by heavy rains on Tuesday evening throwing life out of gear with waterlogging and huge traffic jams that lasted hours.It was like a flashback to Mumbai's 26/7 Deluge!Gave me the creeps.
After a day’s respite on Monday, Pune and it's suburbs witnessed a heavy downpour for around two hours on Tuesday evening. The thundershowers led to water-logging at several places, causing traffic jams and power disruptions across various parts of the city.The IMD recorded 62.3 mm rainfall till 11.30 pm on Tuesday, which is the season’s highest on a single day. The drains and nullahs were in a spate, causing water-logging and throwing vehicular traffic completely out of gear. Power supply in parts of the city was adversely affected following torrential rain.Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) officials reported several breakdowns.
