NCP supremo and minister Sharad Pawar said the hype over Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi was like an “inflated balloon” that would “burst soon”. On the speculation that Modi would be asked to lead the BJP’s campaign for the 2014 general elections and his prime ministerial ambitions, Pawar said, “I have a political career spanning nearly 50 years. One lesson that I have learned is more a balloon is filled with air and inflated, the greater the chances of it bursting soon,” he said.
