Army test-fires BrahMos

The army successfully test-fired an advanced version of the supersonic BrahMos cruise missile at Chandhan field firing range near Pokhran in Jaisalmer.
The missile was launched from a mobile autonomous launcher deployed with full configuration with a mobile command post at 1.05 pm. It hit a target about 55 km away in Ajasar.
Following its predetermined trajectory, the missile successfully hit the designated target, said defence spokesperson Col S D Goswami. “The launch has successfully validated the deep-penetration capability of the missile system against hardened targets,” an official said.
