“Achhe din aane mein 25 saal lagenge (It will take 25 years for good days to come),“ BJP president Amit Shah said on Monday . He said that in a broader perspective, the PM's `achhe din' promise meant restoring India's former global pride. “Five year rule (by BJP) cannot make India a top world power) he said. He elaborated that in its first five-year rule, the BJP government could reduce inflation, ensure secure borders, make a strong foreign policy, achieve economic development, provide jobs and remove poverty. “But the BJP needs to win elections at every level, from panchayat to the Lok Sabha, for the next 25 years in order to take India to the No. 1 position in the world,“ Shah added.
