Jammu and Kashmir's constitution is “sovereign in character“ and its assembly exercises “sovereign power to legislate laws'', the state HC said on Friday . A division bench of Justices Muzaffar Hussain Attar and Ali Mohammad Magrey gave the landmark ruling amid fresh challenges to J&K's special status.
