The Enforcement Directorate arrested alleged tax evader Hasan Ali Khan around midnight of Monday/Tuesday in Mumbai after hours of being in detention for questioning. ED officials are also investigating an overseas transfer of $700,000 in the case. The ED’s move follows the Supreme Court’s observation last week against investigating agencies not interrogating Khan in custody. Earlier on Monday, ED officials raided the south Kolkata residence of industrialist Kashinath Tapuriah (74) for his alleged links with Khan. The brother of Priyamvada Birla, Tapuriah denied any links with Khan and rubbished allegations that he and his wife Chandrika operated a series of overseas bank accounts with the Pune-based studfarm owner.

All I say is he is innocent. There is no proof against tall claims made by the ED
