Somewhere in Uttarakhand....

The Uttarakhand government has revoked the state Lokayukta Act which received presidential assent in October.
Chief minister Vijay Bahuguna said the decision was taken at a cabinet meeting. He said the new Lokayukta Bill which has been drafted from the Lokpal Bill passed by Lok Sabha over a week ago will be tabled in the state assembly during its special session from January 13 to 15.
“Since the next session of the house will be held in March, we were left with no option but to summon a special session to pass the bill ,” agriculture minister Harak Singh Rawat said.
