The Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar metro route received a clearance from the commissioner of railway safety (CRS) on Friday. The metro now needs one more certificate before it is inaugurated.
Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) P S Baghel said, “As part of the safety norms, the trains cannot travel over 50 kmph.”
Mumbai Metro now requires approval regarding the coaches for which the documents were submitted to the railway board on April 22.
