The Nano is ready to roll out from Sanand

The small car has set realty in the region on fire. Land prices have tripled in the past two years. Around 40 to 50 new projects including a mini township — some 4,000 housing units — will be available in and around Sanand over next one year. Workers pouring in for jobs have already triggered demand for residential property. Sanand’s population has grown from below 50,000 two years ago to around 70,000. Besides, investors from Delhi and Mumbai are betting big on the region which falls in the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor influence area. “With the kind of infrastructure coming up here, Sanand has the potential to become the Detroit of India over the next few years,” says Jaxay Shah, president Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association (CREDAI) Gujarat chapter.
