Somewhere in the Arabian Sea....

After transiting non-stop for over 8,000 nautical miles from Russia, without entering any port en route, India’s new aircraft carrier is finally in the Arabian Sea. INS Vikramaditya will reach its home base at Karwar early next week. With a price tag of $2.33 billion, which zooms up to over $5 billion if the cost of 45 MiG-29Ks being acquired to operate from its deck as well as infrastructure at Karwar is also taken into account, INS Vikramaditya is the costliest single military platform India has ever bought.
