The Indian Navy seized a Pakistani boat ferrying a huge consignment of heroin from the international maritime boundary line on Monday . Security agencies detained eight people, including five suspected Pakistani nationals, along with 250 kg of heroin. The detainees and the boat were handed over to the Coast Guard. They will be taken to Porbandar on Tuesday .
Suspicious movements of vessels have kept security agencies on their toes since Sunday , when two boats belonging to local fishermen were intercepted by the Coast Guard and state marine police off the Gujarat coast. “The boats, `Fiza' and `Fatima', did not have mandatory documents for fishing in the sea,“ a source in the Kalyanpur police station near Dwarka said.
