Vistara connects Pune-Delhi


Vistara, the airline joint venture of the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, has started a daily flight between New Delhi and Pune. The flight will leave New Delhi at 6.45 pm and land in Pune at 9 pm. It will return at 9.40 pm from Pune to land in Delhi at 11.50 pm.
Vistara's A320 aircraft deployed on the route has a capacity of 148 seats with a con figuration of 16 business class seats, 36 premium economy seats and 96 economy seats, chief executive officer Phee Teik Yeoh said.
“Pune is one of the big cities in India. For Vistara, such destinations offer immense potential as their robust infrastructure and good quality of life attract more investment, trade and travel. Vistara's footprint in India will grow with newer destinations to be announced later this year,“ he said.
Vistara now connects Delhi with Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Bagdogra, Yeoh said. He added that in the three months of its launch the airline has increased its flight frequencies from 68 to 197.
The airline at present has six aircraft and intends to commission three more by 2015-end, Yeoh said.
