New GPS based Clocks at Mumbai's CR Stations
Keeping pace with time, the Central Railway (CR) has been replacing the conventional clock at stations with those based on global positioning system (GPS).The CR has already installed 50 high-end clocks at stations like CST, Asangaon, Kasara, Titwala and Kalyan, and getting 100 more to cover all 75 stations in its network. The new clocks have synchronised timing, displaying same time across all the CR stations in the city. Accurate to the second, the GPS clocks do not need manual adjustments or setting on a daily basis.
