100 Days of Unrest....

A 100 days since the killing of Hizbul terrorist Burhan Wa ni, the Kashmir valley continues to seethe in violence with at least 92 people losing their lives while over 16,000 sustained injuries.
Heavy deployment of forces continued in all major towns of Kashmir valley and capital Srinagar. The education sector in Kashmir has taken a huge hit, private businesses and petrol pumps stayed shut on Sunday, as the situation remained tense.
Meanwhile, markets in the Civil Lanes of Srinagar and other areas after 5 PM on the relaxation call given by joint separatists.
Top police official told Mirror that following improvement in the situation, curfew was completely lifted from across the Valley on Sunday. He said restrictions on the assembly of people under Section 144 CrPc was still in place.
The official said forces were deployed in sensitive areas to maintain law and order and foil anti-India protest and rallies by people.
“The 100-day shutdown means total failure of state government, not only the education sector but the entire society has suffered a lot.We request the Indian government to please take the steps to improve the situation,“ Muhammad Altaf Bhat, a local resident and Chairman of Civil Society in Pulwama told Mirror. “Schools will open only after the situation improves in Kashmir and the initiative has to come from the people,“ said a senior official from the Department of Education.
Meanwhile, an Indian soldier was killed after being hit by a sniper fire from across the border in Balakote Tarkundi forward sector in Mendhar area on Sunday

Following surgical strikes, a massive concentration of armed terrorists has been witnessed at the Line of Control. Army sources said that militants are conducting recce at the LOC and going back to the base camps as they plot their infiltration strategy. Sources in Intelligence agency said, “This is being done at the behest of Pakistan army “.
