Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Udaipur at 1 pm for dedicating and laying foundation stones of various National Highway projects worth Rs.15,000 crore in the state. There are 11 completed projects covering a length of about 873 kilometre. Besides, there are six highway projects to be newly laid.

Ahead of the PMs visit, chief minister Vasundhara Raje arrived in Udaipur on Monday afternoon and headed straight to the function venue at Maharana Pratap Khelgaon near Chitrakoot Nagar. She was accompanied by home minister Gulab Chand Kataria, PWD minister Yunus Khan, DGP Ajit Singh and several other higher officials. Governor Kalyan Singh too arrived in the afternoon.

Modi would be addressing a massive gathering of over 1 lakh people. BJP men are hailing Modi's visit to Udaipur as an enormous booster dose to prospects of the party in the 2018 state elections. Modi would also visit the Pratap Gaurav Kendra soon after the rally. Three helipads have been made to facilitate PMs visit and an IAF chopper made rehearsals of landings at the helipads to test the ground hardness.
