The US ended its almost nine -year boycott of Narendra Modi with its ambassador Nancy Powell meeting the BJP’s PM candidate at his residence. While the visa ban on the Gujarat CM following the 2002 riots did not figure in the talks, Modi brought up issues ranging from Devyani Khobragade and Afghanistan to G8 and bilateral ties.
The BJP leader emphasized the need for a single global yardstick on terror and isolating terrorist groups. He further said the perpetrators of the 26/11 carnage must be brought to book quickly.
